Our Mission
Reach Each Child aims to improve nutritional status during the first 1,000 days of life, with a goal of reducing stunting by 40% in children under 5 and keeping childhood wasting rates below 5% and ensuring that there are 0 deaths due to malnutrition.

Reach Each Child aims to provide support and care for mothers and children during the first 1000 days of a mother and child’s life. The programme’s guiding principles throughout the journey have been adopting a lifecycle approach to nutrition; gender sensitivity and inclusivity; community ownership and early prevention. The initiative is constructed around reducing the number of stunted children under-5 by 40% and reduce and maintain child wasting to < 5% with a multisectoral and multi-dimensional approach, taking up the following targeted interventions:

Promoting good nutritional practices (improving micronutrients through food fortification and micro diversity )
Therapeutic feeding for malnourished children with special foods
Increasing intake of vitamins, minerals for young children and their mothers
Using technology to create multimedia stimuli and behavioural nudges
Equipping nutrition workers and expectant mothers with mobile nutrition kits
Organising promotional community events
Providing incentivisation via conditional-cash-transfers

Employing first-of-its-kind-female-only Community Nutrition Workers to promote good nutritional practices within communities
Project locations
Geography
Nandurbar and Amaravati are both predominantly tribal and hilly, remote districts on the edges of northern Maharashtra. The Pawra and Bhil communities dominate the Nandurbar district and Korku, Gond, Lohar communities are prevalent in Amravati.
Both the districts are primarily agricultural kharif cycle districts, which experience mass seasonal migration to neighboring states of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh between November and March.

Mr. Ravi Bhatnagar leads External Affairs and Partnerships at Reckitt (SOA), Before this role he was leading the same function for the AMESA region at Reckitt. He is a qualified Independent Director (Institute of Directors) and sits on various commissions and committees at ASSOCHAM, UKIBC, CBI, FICCI-ISC, among others. At Reckitt, he is a member of the Global Corporate Affairs and Sustainability Leadership Team,
In recognition of Reckitt’s exemplary work in social impact, he is in the WTO Hall of Fame and a recipient of the President of India Medal.
Before joining Reckitt, Mr. Bhatnagar worked in challenging leadership positions in several organizations, including Clinton Health Access Initiative, DFID, The World Bank,
He is an Alumni of TISS Mumbai and Life Founding member of Leaders’ Excellence Harvard Square.

Mr. Asif has more than 20 years of experience in the field of child rights development and its impact assessment. He heads Plan India and has expertise in building partnerships and alliances for implementing programmes, supporting advocacy campaigns as well as Disaster Risk Management programme.
Asif joined Plan India in 2006 and took on a national role as Director, Program Implementation in 2009. Over the past decade, he has ensured the successful implementation of over 500 development projects across India.

Vipin Yadav is a global digital health visionary with more than 25 years of experience in designing and executing global healthcare strategies for the UN, Governments, International Organizations and other multilateral agencies. Vipin has been driving Dure Technologies to become a global leader in leveraging futuristic innovations such as artificial intelligence, immersive technologies and last mile connect towards solving some of the most critical global health challenges including responding to COVID-19 crisis for many countries.
As a Technology Director at The Global Fund and various strategic engagements with WHO and other UN agencies, Vipin has helped transform the digital health ecosystem across lower and middle income countries impacting millions of lives across the globe.
Vipin has many years of experience working in the Silicon Valley and Wall Street as a thought leader in the inclusive finance and insurance sector and helped create new markets and business models across 20 countries.

Dr Komal Goswami is Chief Of Party for Reckitt projects working at PLAN India. She monitors all the projects implemented by PLAN India for Reckitt and also manages internal stakeholders to ensure that PLAN India’s ambition “Girls are empowered to take action and get equal” is aligned with all the projects.
In her short tenure at PLAN India, she has worked on making sure that children become change agents of hygiene, she has also worked on adolescent sexual and reproductive health of youths along with making sure that right and inclusive nutrition reaches to each child to curb malnutrition. She works with various partners to ensure that impact is delivered at right time for sustainable future.
She has a background in health administration and program implementation. She works with aim to make lives healthier and happier.

Dr. Jyotsna Sistla is Manager (Purpose Programs) Health and SWB at Reckitt. She works with partners and internal stakeholders to ensure that Reckitt’s purpose-led programmes are supported to achieve and exceed their intended impacts.
In her short tenure at Reckitt, she has worked to coordinate the donations under the Fight for Access fund for COVID, worked with internal teams to develop an STI self-risk assessment app for the LGBTQ community, worked on the ‘Swasth Bharat Tech Champs’ initiative with WhiteHat Jr, and is involved in bringing the Durex supported Birds and Bees Talk to a completely digital format. She works with brand teams to ensure that the brand purpose is integrated with the company and country purpose.
Dr Sistla has a background in public health and management consulting, and has a deep interest the potential of technology and innovative finance models to drive impact, through the creative lens of design thinking and innovation.
Dr Sistla previously worked as a management consultant at Deloitte with the Public-Private Health team in the Strategy and Transformation vertical.
